Once again Dr. Crowder is going swimming in February but this year he will be joined by his daughter Kayla. This will be the 1st year she is eligible and to that end we have set a fundraising goal of $100 for each of her birthdays (totalling $1000). Dr. Crowder is excited to give his patients an opportunity to contribute to a wonderful cause in the Special Olympics; as well as let him see if any of his teeth are cold sensitive.
Secure donations can be made at: http://www.firstgiving.com/ricandkayla
or you can go to our links page and be connected as well.
Thanks, and God bless.
Ric Crowder, D.D.S.

Some of you may have heard about recently released studies showing lead in some crowns that had been fabricated in China. Dr. Crowder wants to educate all of his patients about the importance of being aware of what is in the materials that are placed into your mouth.
Dr. Crowder only uses local, certified dental laboratories for all of the fixed and removable prosthetics he prescribes. Our crowns are either gold, all porcelain or a porcelain fused to high-noble metal (defined as at least 40% gold with the remainder composed of platinum, palladium and silver). In addition, as a practice we are significantly reducing the usage of amalgams and do not use any nickel alloys.
If you ever have any questions regarding this or other dental news items you may read or hear about please do not hesitate to email or call Dr. Crowder. We always want to keep you informed - after all, it is YOUR mouth!
Please follow this link before you first visit and fill out your paperwork on our secure server.

Dr. Crowder and staff made an early morning trip to Topeka, Ks on February 2 to provide free dental care at the annual Kansas Mission of Mercy. This annual event brings together dentists from around the state and provides dental care to over 2000 adults and children.
"This is an annual event for our office as we are committed to dental missions locally, nationally and internationally." said Dr. Crowder.
If you would like to volunteer for any of the missions that Crowder Family Dentistry does, give Kristie a call and we will keep you informed of upcoming events.
